FAB House

Grand Rapids, MI | Corporate

Hutchinson Worldwide selected its Grand Rapids, MI anti-vibration plant as the site for its North American Innovation Center—616 Fab House. Housed in a 100-year-old factory originally built as Corduroy Rubber, the space was chosen in part for its historical significance, showcasing Hutchinson’s longstanding U.S. presence.

The design preserves the building’s vintage character—exposed wood beams, original brick, and wood floors—while introducing modern elements like glass, steel, and integrated technology. LED lighting and Steelcase MediaScape products support a flexible, connected workspace.
